DIY Face Care: Badger Unscented Face Oil

DIY Skin Care Make Badger Unscented Face Oil

As we continue to simplify our ingredient sourcing, the time has come to discontinue our Unscented Face Oil, which contains an ingredient not found in any other product we offer. While we’re sad to say goodbye, there’s some good news—this product is so beautifully simple that you can make it yourself! 🌻

DIY Face Care Badger Unscented Face Oil

To make Unscented Face Oil in your own kitchen, simply combine the following:

  • 6 ½ tbsp organic sunflower oil
  • ¾ tbsp organic jojoba oil
  • 1 ¾ tsp organic baobab oil
  • ½ tsp organic pomegranate oil
  • ¼ tsp organic rosehip seed oil
  • 11 drops sunflower vitamin E
  • 3 drops organic calendula CO2 extract

To purchase these ingredients online, we recommend the wonderful folks at @mountainroseherbs. Recipe makes approximately 4oz of product. Happy DIYing, friends!

  • I am so sad this has been discontinued! I can switch to the seabuckthorn, but the unscented was truly the best. Thanks for the recipe (though the odds of me making it are slim, I admit, but maybe I’ll get inspired), and I’ll hope I can find some at another retailer or that you might bring it back one day.

Thanks for being so open about it all!

  • Hello,
Thank you for posting this recipe.
I used your unscented products because I a. allergic to your fragranced ones, I think because you include limonene and linalool.

Can you please post the recipe to your unscented cleansing oil? I can’t find something to replace it on the market and my face misses it.

    Thank you

Thank you for your kind request! We will share this with our team. In the meantime, we suggest using organic sunflower, apricot, or jojoba oil as an unscented oil cleanser. Here is the full ingredient list:

Badger Unscented Face Cleansing Oil Ingredients: Organic Sunflower Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Organic Apricot Oil, Sunflower Vitamin E & Organic Calendula Extract.

The linalool, citronellol, geraniol, eugenol, farnesol, and limonene are not included as individual ingredients. These are all naturally occurring components of the essential oils we use in the product. The EU requires products sold there to be labeled with the components of essential oils.

Thank you for connecting with us!

  • I am sad ,I love this face oil and also I am worried because you are discontinued many products that are just amazing, when I finily found the perfect cleanser (Damascus Rose Cleansing Milk) also discontinued very sad. Thank you for connecting with us, Betty. We’ve dearly loved every product we’ve ever made, so discontinuations are never easy. We will continue making our signature items such as our Rose Face Oil and Beauty Balm. Our intention in simplifying our offerings is to be sure we can continue to reliably make and supply our core products without disruption in this highly disruptive time of Covid. We also work continuously to reduce and reverse environmental impact in our sourcing. Simplifying our sourcing helps us increase our resiliency and decrease our impact. In the case of the Cleansing Milk (and similarly our water-based sunscreen lotions), there was a specific ingredient that is no longer available. We are working on new formulas but as we work with all-natural ingredients, our process is slow. We do also have dreams of a time and space, when and where we can small-batch produce some of out-of-production favorites. We may be dreamers, but that hasn’t stopped us yet!

Wishing you the very best, Emily

    Betty
