Job Title: Maintenance Technician Specialist

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Description: The Maintenance Technician supports the Badger Mission and Principles as a member of the Production team with a specific responsibility for ensuring that all equipment functions as intended and is maintained to be in good working order. In addition, this role is responsible for maintaining machinery operating instructions, training employees on the instructions, and maintaining compliance with cGMP practices as it relates to machinery documentation.

Essential Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and complete repairs, as appropriate, for manufacturing equipment; mechanical and electrical systems; and air and cooling systems in Production.
• Work with Production Manager to do triage, determine priorities, and work with outside contractors, as needed.
• Maintain spare parts inventory for each machine.
• Schedule and perform preventative maintenance for all manufacturing equipment, RO water System, and compressed air system.
• Support Production Manager in contacting and scheduling outside contractors and ensure that all standards are met while work is being performed.
• Provide training, guidance, and support to the Production team as needed to run machinery and do changeovers.

Compliance:
• Ensure that all Production system and machinery maintenance, repairs, and improvements are coordinated with QA and documented in the Quality Management System.
• Work with QA to ensure that all subcontractors are qualified according to the Supplier Qualification work instruction prior to scheduling work in production.
• Work with QA to create and edit work instructions for machinery operations, preventative maintenance, and equipment cleaning, as needed.
• Work with QA to execute and document equipment qualification process and cleaning validation process.
• Work with Production and QA to support out-of-spec and nonconformance investigations and develop corrective actions related to manufacturing.
• Take responsibility for ensuring all Production-initiated deviations and non-conformances are entered into the QMS.

Leadership Function:
• Take leadership in overseeing all machines so they are running and in good working order, report out to Production Procurement Manager, Operations Manager and Co-CEO weekly on any unresolved issues.
• Act as a role model for Production department by supporting companywide management initiatives, the work of the Production Procurement Manager and the Production Supervisor, and by providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
• Act as the shift leader as scheduled/needed by supporting the team throughout the day with any issues that arise within the production environment.
• Attend meetings as requested.
• Regularly attend all Badger community activities

Other Duties:
• Fill in a machinery operator as requested when schedule demands.

Experience / Abilities Required:
• Ability to work independently with minimal to no supervision.
• Ability to work collaboratively and get feedback from a team.
• Ability to use Excel and database systems
• 2-5 years of experience as a machine technician or comparable position

Physical Requirements:

Position Title: Administrative and Garden Assistant

Job Description: The Administrative and Garden Assistant supports the W.S. Badger Co. mission statement and principles by providing administrative support to the Chief Mission Officer as well as helping in the Badger garden. This position offers a very flexible schedule, and a variety of duties that may change as different projects open. The ideal candidate will enjoy doing research, engaging with the community, writing, and doing some hands-on work in the garden!


Responsibilities: Project research, assisting in planning company events, community engagement, content writing for the company newsletter and other correspondence, hands-on work in the Badger garden, and other administrative duties as needed.

Job Title: Warehouse Associate - Level I-III
Reports To: Warehouse and Receiving Supervisor
Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Description: The Warehouse and Receiving Associate supports the Badger mission and principles as a member of the Operations team. The Warehouse Associate has specific responsibilities to maintain the warehouse and inventory in an efficient and safe manner.

Essential Responsibilities:

Level I:
• Oversee the unloading of trucks in a safe and organized manner.
• Stock finished goods, as needed, to maintain min/max levels
• Accurately record all inventory movements in Syspro
• Accurately transfer goods from manufacturing to the warehouse and from the warehouse to bins in fulfillment
• Accurately update and maintain all bin locations within the warehouse
• Transfer packaging materials from their original cardboard outer box to a clean-space approved bin or pallet
• Understand the storage and handling requirements for all goods coming into the warehouse and process accordingly.

Level II:
• Proficient in all Level I responsibilities
• Accurately receive and labels goods to ensure accurate inventory, billing, and storage
• Print traveler document, ensure QA has time to inspect label art before Production job is scheduled to begin, and sign off on all inventory once returned.
• Following the SOP and cGMP’s pull samples from all incoming raw materials and packaging, complete paperwork following GDP and deliver to QA for processing in a timely manner.
• Effectively communicate issues for received goods to purchasing, and finance departments as needed.
• Maintain accurate and organized filing system for all inventory related paperwork.
• Coordinate with production to have packaging available according to the schedule.
• As needed deliver raw materials, packaging and finished good to the appropriate place of use and return any remaining inventory to appropriate warehouse bin.
• Run all necessary reports for accurate delivery of materials for large orders, packaging, production, and shipping

Level III
• Proficient in all Level I and II responsibilities
• Holds specific responsibilities within the team
• Can lead on sampling and QA interaction
• Backup for inspection and receipt of finished goods and raw materials.
• Actively follow up with trucking companies on late deliveries
• Proactively work to solve problems and provide feedback to the operations leadership team
• Ability to fully back-up warehouse supervisor when they are out, including scheduling and managing freight deliveries and coordinating deliveries from off-site warehouses.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Level I and II

Other Duties:
• Stay current with Badger communication by regularly reading e-mails and posted information in the warehouse
• Attend company and department functions as requested by supervisor
• Other duties as assigned

Safety:
• Observe all safety regulations and wear the appropriate safety equipment such as safety footwear, glasses, hearing protection, etc.
• Obtain a license in order to safely operate fork trucks and pallet jacks throughout the facility


Experience / Abilities Required:
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent attention to detail
• Working knowledge of MS Office

Job Description: The Badger Custodian supports the Badger Mission and Principles as a member of the Administration and Facilities & Maintenance team with specific duties and responsibilities for the care and cleanliness of the Badger building. Responsibilities require the ability to work independently performing diversified cleaning tasks.

Essential Responsibilities:
Cleaning & maintenance of the building interior, as directed by the Facilities Manager:
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly routine cleaning tasks to include: sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, mopping of common areas.
• Perform deep-cleaning projects as scheduled.
• Notify Facilities Manager of deficiencies in the cleaning schedule or any repairs needed in the building.
• Opening and closing the building after hours.

Experience / Abilities Required:
• Ability to follow a routine schedule and take direction from supervisor.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to respond to priorities and emergencies as they arise.

Physical Requirements:
Physical requirements for the job include, but are not limited to: Lifting and carrying up to 40 lbs., pulling, pushing equipment; working from ladder height; grasping of and reaching for a variety of tools and other materials; climbing, bending and stooping, all over the course of a 6-hour work-shift.
