Job Description: The Marketing Manager supports the Badger mission and principles through developing and implementing effective marketing strategies, managing campaigns, and overseeing all day-to-day marketing activities. The Marketing Manager will serve as an important department leader and will help to ensure mission aligned communications and sustainability throughout our campaigns and promotions. Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, increase market share, and drive customer engagement.
• Serve as a strong team leader, participating in the hiring process for new team members, ensuring all team members are properly trained, working with team members to create career development plans and develop continuing education plans as needed. In addition, prepare and run department 45/90-day check-ins and ABC meetings, with support from Director of Marketing, address all employee performance issues or interpersonal concerns with the support of HR and ensure weekly payroll approvals for team members are complete.
• Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitive landscape, and potential opportunities for growth.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products, ensuring effective product positioning and messaging. This is both through precise project management in PM tools and software as well as active roles on cross departmental teams.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, social media, and events, while managing budgets and timelines effectively.
• Manage the creation of marketing collaterals, such as brochures, product packaging, website content, and promotional materials, ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity.
• Develop and nurture relationships with external partners, including agencies, influencers, and media outlets, to maximize brand exposure and collaborations.
• Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics, such as sales data, website traffic, and social media engagement, to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and make data-driven decisions.
• Stay updated on industry trends, consumer behavior, and emerging marketing techniques to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the marketing team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with sales teams to develop effective trade marketing strategies and promotional initiatives to drive product visibility and sales growth.
• Other duties, as assigned.
Experience/Abilities Required:
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• OR Proven experience 5 years ( as a Marketing Manager in the consumer packaged goods industry, preferably in the organic or natural products sector.
• In-depth knowledge of marketing principles, brand management, and market research methodologies.
• Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, and email marketing.
• Experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
• Excellent analytical skills to interpret data and market trends, and the ability to use insights to drive strategic decision-making.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and presentations.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
• Detail-oriented, with excellent organizational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for organic and sustainable products, with a commitment to promoting healthy and environmentally conscious living.
