Job Description:

The Social Impact & Sustainability Manager champions Badger’s Mission and Principles through caring for the overall organizational community and culture, and our work to make a difference.  This includes work with sustainability, DEIB, and B Corp initiatives.


Essential Responsibilities:

Sustainability:

-Manage the Sustainability strategic planning process including setting and maintaining Badger’s environmental target and commitments, including Net Zero by 2030.

-Manage Badger’s Environmental Management System (EMS) to measure and track the resource and energy use (including electricity, water, GHG, waste) of the business.

-Provide analysis and summary of sustainability efforts for external communications.

-Assist with waste audits twice/year, compile and record results and present with context.

-Manage and source RECs and carbon credits, as needed.

-Initiate and lead annual environmental progress reporting following B Lab/industry best practices.

-Stay abreast of relevant sustainability legislation and best practices and make recommendations for Badger’s engagement and support.

-Facilitate the integration of company environmental mission into Badger culture.  Educate on climate science, regenerative agriculture, environmental impact, and related issues; communicate environmental goals and progress to leadership and company in a dynamic and engaging manner.

-Support the efforts of the Green Bean Team

-Create and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local sustainability issues


Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging:

-Manage the DEIB strategic planning process including developing and implementing initiatives that support DEI and foster employee engagement throughout the organization.

-Implement, and continuously improve the company's diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy to ensure alignment with our mission and principles.

 -With the Human Resources Team, conduct surveys and gather feedback to make data-driven decisions for improvement of the employee experience.

 -With the Administration team, create and execute programs that enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and well-being.

 -Partner with the Human Resources team to implement strategies that promote diverse hiring and ensure that new employees feel welcome and included from day one.

 -Build relationships with external organizations and communities to stay informed of best practices and collaborate on initiatives that support our DEI and employee engagement efforts.

 -Support the efforts of the Social Justice Working Group

 -Create and plans outreach programs that engage, support, and partner with the community and produce a positive impact to address local DEIB issues.


B Corp:

-Serve as a liaison to the B Corp Climate Collective and other climate justice initiatives.

 -Project manage, conduct and facilitate the B Corp Impact Assessment process every 3 years

 -Organize, analyze and report the results of the B Impact Assessment

 -Write the content of the Annual Benefit Corp Report and submit the final report to the state of NH annually per their requirements.

-Provide board members with annual B Corp Impact gap analysis and recommendations for improvement.

Other duties as required.


Experience / Abilities Required:

-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience

 -A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience with the development and implementation of corporate responsibility initiatives

 -In-depth knowledge of sustainability and diversity, equity, and inclusion best practices, trends, and methods of educating others

 -Cultural awareness and sensitivity to interact and collaborate, and to establish and maintain relationships.

 -Ability to collaborate across teams to facilitate and foster communication and involvement.

 -Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills

 -Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

 -Proven problem-solving skills.

 -Ability to analyze data and develop data-driven recommendations, including proficiency with Excel and Tableau or other analytical tools.

 -Confidence compiling information and data to present to all levels of the organization.

 -A minimum of 5 years’ experience specializing in social impact work with a strong focus on employee engagement

Job Description:

This position is designed to help W.S. Badger Co. on a temporary basis, beginning in the next few weeks, and wrapping up as late as July, depending on the needs of the business. The Seasonal Packaging Team Member supports the Badger mission and principles as a member of the Operations team working in Packaging.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

-Package and assemble according to Badger and customer standard for products.

-Assemble gift sets and POPs for customers’ orders according to specifications.

-Maintain quality control standards on all work.

-Contribute to an accurate and organized inventory by recording assembled products and kits.

-Participate in daily and weekly cleanup of workspace.

-Attend department trainings and meetings as required.

-Other duties as assigned.

 

EXPERIENCE/ ABILITY REQUIRED

Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision.

Experience using computers.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Physical requirements for the job include, but are not limited to: standing and bending; lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.; pulling and pushing a shipping cart; grasping and reaching for small objects; repeatedly throughout a typical 8 hour shift; as well as the ability to walk significant distances over the course of the day. Employee must be able to perform these essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Job Description:

The Document Control Coordinator supports the Badger Mission and Principles as a member of the Quality Unit. They are responsible for supporting the fidelity and accuracy of documents created to support the Quality Management System, document release and review, administering the training program, review of executed batch records, and art receiving. They also support the full quality system as a collaborative member of the Quality Unit. This role reports to the Quality Manager for oversite and direction.


Essential Responsibilities:


Document Control:

 -Provide initial review and ensure correct document type is used for all new revised documents within the QMS

-Maintain accurate document owners and reviewers

-Ensure documents are signed, trained on, and move from training to implemented

-Distribute and release documents as needed following GMP and GDP

-Creation and maintenance of SOP binders throughout the building


Quality Records:

-QA Release, QA review and file: Logs and Forms from Production & QC Lab

--On-demand maintenance forms

--Preventative maintenance forms

--Cleaning logs

--QC lab records

--RO Monitoring logs

-Create and maintain Safety Data Sheets for W.S. Badger products

--Maintain physical SDS binders for: Batching, Filling, Warehouse, Facilities, and Kitchen


Quality Training Program:

-Maintain employees and current job positions in ETQ

-Creation of training plans/document list for new QA and QC employees

-Ensure necessary trainings are scheduled, conducted, and recorded in a timely manner

-Ensure Training Procedure is followed, and continue to revise and act as owner of this document


Art Receiving:

-Primary to receive and review new and revised art packaging

-Primary to receive unlabeled components

-Work with QA Project Manager to review and receive product packaging to ensure change control implementation and overall quality


Other Responsibilities:

 -Back up QA Core Daily Functions

-Support Process Validation monitoring, as needed

-Serve as member of the audit team during FDA inspections

-Other duties as required


Experience/Abilities Required:

-Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

-Excellent written communication and attention to detail required

-Experience working in a Quality Assurance position is preferred
